Stay awhile amid its charms
Nearly lost, then bought back by the village. Today The Black Lion is three destinations under one roof: a proper Yorkshire local, a community café, and five quiet hardstanding pitches behind the garden.
Walkers, cyclists and touring guests find Newby Hall on the doorstep, Ripon a short drive, and the Dales beyond. Come for a pint, stay for the night, or both.
